Where the market is heading. Whether the partnership is real. What the competitor is actually building. Which bet survives contact with the technology.

Most of that work sits in broadband, cable, and energy infrastructure, where the technology and the business model tend to get argued separately when they should be argued together.

Typical work: market and opportunity assessment, competitive and technology landscape, partnership evaluation, diligence support, and the narrative that gets a board or an investment committee to a decision.

Since 1995 I've made a career of getting to emerging technologies early and figuring out what they're worth before the market has priced them.
